1. Data controller

The controller of personal data collected through GarageOne is Michael Derrien, publisher of the Service (contact details in the legal notice). Contact for any question or request: contact@garageone.fr.

2. Data we collect

We only collect the data needed to run the Service:

Account and preferences

  • Email address and name (optional)
  • Hashed password, never readable in clear text (no password if you only use Google sign-in)
  • Language, currency, units, theme and notification preferences
  • Date you accepted the terms
  • Referral code and any link with your referrer or referees

Google sign-in

If you choose this method, Google sends us your verified email address and your name. We receive neither your Google password nor access to other Google services.

Vehicles

  • Make, model, year, engine, power, trim
  • License plate and photo (optional)
  • Inspection and insurance dates, reminder settings

Tracking

  • Fill-ups: date, liters, amount, mileage, notes
  • Maintenance: date, description, amount, mileage, notes
  • Invoices you upload (files)

Sharing and fleet

  • Email addresses of people you invite, and their role (co-owner, driver)
  • Author of each fill-up entered on a shared vehicle
  • Public logbook link, if you enable it

Subscription and payment

  • Stripe customer ID, plan, status, number of vehicles, renewal dates
  • Your card details are entered on Stripe and never stored by us

Security and sessions

  • For each sign-in: browser and system, IP address, creation and last activity dates
  • Email verification and password reset tokens
  • Rate-limiting counters (in memory, not retained)

Notifications

  • Push notification subscriptions (browser identifier and technical keys), only if you enable them
  • Service and reminder emails

Location

If you allow it in your browser, your position is used to find nearby stations, garages and car washes. It is not saved in your account: the last position is only remembered in your browser. The coordinates of the searched area are sent to our servers to query data sources, without being linked to your account.

Audience measurement

On public pages only (home, sign-in, sign-up, legal pages), we measure traffic with Umami, hosted by the publisher: page view, browser, system, screen size, country. No cookie, no persistent identifier and no measurement inside the signed-in area. Your browser's "Do Not Track" signal is honored.

We never collect sensitive data (health, origin, opinions, etc.). We do not carry out profiling or automated decisions with legal effects on you.

No other data is transferred outside the European Union.

The Service is intended for people aged at least 16. If you know that a child under 16 has created an account, contact us at contact@garageone.fr so that we delete it.
